The cylinder wears after time and will need a slightly larger piston.
You have the original size (A), than B, C, and so on...

Hi, i have been on a site called mopshop.de and found a piston kit for my polini 70cc cylinder on my aprilia af1. There are 4 piston kits available but have an 'a', 'b', 'c' and 'd' after, does anyone know what this stands for? Thanks for your help. |

Thanks for the help, do you know how much larger the piston b would be, and do you think i will need that or the standard size, because at the moment my piston rings are worn out so much the piston is very burnt down the sides. Thanks. |

How much miles on the cilinder? it depends on the mileage really. i would try an A piston with new rings. |

I'm not really sure how many miles as it's second hand/used, but when i got it there wasn't much wear, i have done nearly 10,000km about 6 or 7000 miles on it so around that many km's/miles. I think i probably will go with the A piston, thanks. |

Also, if you go on the site http://www.mop-shop.de, and click on the link for pistons, there are two pistons for the af1 polini kit and they are the same, does anyone know why this is? Could someone please tell me which one to get, as i am looking for a piston kit with the rings aswell as the piston. Thanks for your help. |

The first one says it are over sizes, 47,4 and 47,8mm. The other one says the A B C D, so i'm not really sure if they just put the same piston on 2 times or if it means something else. |
